A Metaphorical Brain hemorrhage
My mind tends to wander. This is a spot that will be used to track those wanderings. There's no theme, what's here is just whatever happens to flit through my mind.

Strippers should be the best-prepared for hurricane winds as they've already developed good (pole-) gripping strength.

It's kind of amazing that two 50lb dogs can flop down on Grumbles and the worst he does is complain about it.

Dear NYC: have fun getting around if you don't have a car.
I think it's a lot easier to get around without a car, I can't imagine having to deal with one in the city. I am a huge fan of City Maps , its all you really need to get around the city on foot.

The day I posted the original comment, was the day that NYC had shut down the subway system due to the impending arrival of Hurricane Irene.
The public transit system in NYC is awesome, from a utility standpoint (particularly compared to the local system). But, when something like Irene happens, it pretty much screws the city when most of the locals suddenly don't have their primary means of getting around available to them.
